Summary of strengths:

My major strength is my professionalism. I understand my role and I know how to maintain boundaries with clients and colleagues. In my everyday life I make it a habit not to pass judgement, so it isn’t hard to implement this habit in my professional practice. Another strength is recognizing areas of weakness. It is very important to know when you need to ask for help or advice from someone with more experience, especially when being entrusted with the health care decisions of others.

Opportunities for growth:

My biggest opportunity for growth is in psychiatric evaluation. This is the area I feel least knowledgeable in going into this clinical rotation. Up until this point, the only psychiatry-based course we have had is psychopharmacology. Considering the fact that a large portion of our practice will be identifying psychiatric illnesses and implementing appropriate treatments, it is a bit nerve wrecking to realize that we have had little to no instruction in this area heading into clinicals.
